1. What laser modules does the LX2 support?
The LX2 supports 20W, 40W and 60W 455nm blue diode laser modules, as well as a 2W 1064nm infrared laser module.
2. What is the maximum material height the LX2 can process?
The LX2 can engrave materials up to 45mm high in the standard configuration.
With the optional Riser Base, the maximum processing height can be increased to 150mm.
3. What are the main features of the LX2?
Key features include:
- High-precision camera positioning
- Smart material recognition
- Automatic parameter recommendations
- Large working area
- High-speed performance
- Support for thicker materials
- Batch processing
- Puzzle generation
- Real-time monitoring
4. Is the LX2 suitable for me?
The LX2 is designed for users who need a large, enclosed and easy-to-use laser engraving and cutting system.
It supports flat, cylindrical and curved-surface applications and is suitable for crafts, gift customization, design work and small-batch production.
5. What materials can the LX2 engrave?
Material compatibility depends on the laser module.
The 450nm diode laser can process materials such as:
Wood, bamboo, paper, leather, food, fabric, plastic, opaque acrylic, opaque glass, glazed ceramics, stone, silicone, 304 stainless steel, anodized metal and coated metal.
The 2W 1064nm infrared laser can process:
Gold, silver, copper, platinum, aluminum, iron and many common metals.
6. Can the LX2 engrave transparent acrylic directly?
No.
Transparent acrylic does not efficiently absorb the 450nm or 1064nm laser wavelengths.
Surface pretreatment, such as applying a coating, is required before engraving.
7. What is the maximum diameter supported by the Rotary Extension?
The Rotary Extension requires the Riser Base.
The maximum processable diameter is 130mm.
8. How is the LX2 different from the LaserPecker LP series?
Advantages of the LX2 include:
- Large 500 × 305mm working area
- Class 1 safety design
- Built-in camera positioning
- Autofocus
- Curved-surface engraving
- Support for high-power diode laser modules
Compared with some LP-series machines, the LX2 has a lower maximum engraving speed.
For example, LP4 can reach 4000mm/s and LP5 can reach 10000mm/s, while LX2 reaches up to 1000mm/s.
The LP-series machines are generally more portable, while the LX2 is a desktop enclosed machine.
